While attempting to tidy the mess that is my paint cart today, I picked up this mug and saw an inscription on the bottom. To Gordie, 1975. It was made by my grandmother for our grandfather, as a gift. 50 years ago. They’re still together. ♥️ Love

Hi! Welcome to my little corner of the IG land.
I have a love hate relationship with trying to be a content creator when I really just wanna be an artist. But I do love connecting with so many of you that have become friends through our shared love of art making over here!

If you’re new on my feed, thank you so much for giving my art journey a follow. I like to think of Instagram as a living journal where I can post pieces that are in the works and things that I’m excited to be creating and sharing with you.

I create an all sorts of mediums from traditional paint and pencil to digital artwork. I sell my originals and prints in my online shop, notecards and other stationary products. I also license my work for fabric and home goods.

Being from Nova Scotia, it will come as no surprise that I am very much inspired by our coastal communities and love to paint everything from the ocean to the skies above it and the birds and creatures that live on our beautiful East coast shores.

Today I’m working on a peaceful scene of some colorful dories tied up to a dock. I’ll share more when it’s a bit further along. ❤️🎨

I was delighted to find an email in my inbox from a sweet lady I met in Peggy’s Cove over the summer. She purchased one of my ‘Big Lobster’ postcards from @hagsonthehill and was inspired to recreate my painting in a rug! How fun is this?! ~Novice homesteaders, we keep laying hens 🐓 bake bread 🍞 and try to grow veg, although I’m proving to be better at growing flowers than food 🤷‍♀️
~I’m self taught and create in many mediums, painting mostly in acrylic and designing surface patterns are two of my main focuses, it can be an obsessive practice! I work from my home studio.
~We live close to the ocean and it’s a constant source of inspiration for my art. 🐚
~Honored to be one of the newer ‘Hags on the Hill’ in Peggy’s Cove where you can find my art on exhibit seasonally through the warmer months. 🌊 Along with a beautiful collective of artisans @hagsonthehill
~My painting subjects are a mix of landscapes, seascapes, trees and other nature bits - any beautiful thing that grabs my eye and entices me to mix paint! 🎨
~I have a couple openings for new year commissions, if you have a photo of a special spot you’d like created in paint. 👩‍🎨 I’m excited to grow this part of my business.

~Novice homesteaders, we keep laying hens 🐓 bake bread 🍞 and try to grow veg, although I’m proving to be better at growing flowers than food 🤷‍♀️
~I’m self taught and create in many mediums, painting mostly in acrylic and designing surface patterns are two of my main focuses, it can be an obsessive practice! I work from my home studio.
~We live close to the ocean and it’s a constant source of inspiration for my art. 🐚
~Honored to be one of the newer ‘Hags on the Hill’ in Peggy’s Cove where you can find my art on exhibit seasonally through the warmer months. 🌊 Along with a beautiful collective of artisans @hagsonthehill
~My painting subjects are a mix of landscapes, seascapes, trees and other nature bits - any beautiful thing that grabs my eye and entices me to mix paint! 🎨
~I have a couple openings for new year commissions, if you have a photo of a special spot you’d like created in paint. 👩‍🎨 I’m excited to grow this part of my business.
